Lifestyle Medicine is an evidence-based approach to medicine that focuses on prevention and reversal of disease based on lifestyle factors. Studies show that 80% of chronic diseases are caused by lifestyle factors. This is very exciting news because it means that these things are modifiable, making the potential for prevention and cure much more within our control!
These lifestyle factors contribute to our overall health. You cannot medicate yourself out of a chronic disease. If you could, you wouldn’t need a refill. You have to get to the root cause of what contributed to that condition in the first place. The majority of the time, this comes down to addressing lifestyle factors.
